Heilbronn, Germany - the geographical center of Europe.
France is 60 km to the west, Switzerland 150 km to the south, Austria 160 km southeast and the Czech Republic 250 km to the east.

Site of the tournament fields and accommodation

Tournament fields and accommodations are located together directly on the Neckar River in
Heilbronn Germany. All fields are in a 1 square kilometer area. A large stadium for finals is located in this area.

Typical weather and length of daylight time

Weather in Germany is typically dry with temperatures from around 15° at night up to 28° during the day. Ultimate can be played in August until 9 PM.

 

Transportation and Immigration

· Heilbronn, Germany - the geographical center of Europe.
· France is 60 km to the west, Switzerland 150 km to the south, Austria 160 km southeast and the
Czech Republic 250 km to the east.
· Heilbronn is 130 kilometers south of the Frankfurt International Airport and 100 kilometers from the Stuttgart International Airport. Train connections to Heilbronn are good and easy to use. There is a commercial bus transfer from the Frankfurt International Airport to and from Heilbronn.
Transportation can be arranged by the organizing committee for groups of 30 or more and must be paid for by those being transferred. These costs have not been budgeted and will be paid by those using the service.

 

Is a visa needed?

Since the implementation of the “Schengener border agreement” there are no border controls in the 24 member countries from Sweden to Spain and Portugal to Slovakia. Entry into this area is possible for all countries with a passport and in a few cases with a visa.
